My name is Zina Oster. I am a business consultant in Costa Rica who helps small businesses grow, get organized, and make it easier for customers to find them and do business with them. I also consult from Orlando, Florida.

I am a C-level executive, founder, CEO, and president. I have built companies and led them, not only advised them. That includes founding AskZipy and sitting in the chair where the plan, the people, and the results all have to hold. I bring that same standard to every client: a clear decision, a practical plan, and follow-through.

I semi-retired and relocated to Costa Rica. I still work the way I did with C-level executives and with small, medium, and large Fortune 500 companies: find the specific problem, then put a practical fix in place. The same obstacles show up in a beach hotel, a restaurant, a shuttle company, or a corporate team. Hidden friction in the offer, the process, or the way people hear about you keeps growth from happening.

I specialize in those problem areas. The work is to remove what is in the way of growth and efficiency, so local businesses and the people around them can deliver a better customer experience.

How I work

My background is technology, systems, processes, brand, and marketing. I can usually see quickly which part of the business needs attention first, and I stay with that until the result for the company actually changes.

The order matters. Strategize before you spend. Organize who answers, how fast, and what happens next. Then globalize the story so a visitor from somewhere else can understand the offer and act on it. A new logo or a new website will not fix a fuzzy promise. A great price will not help if people cannot find you.

“You can have a great company and even the best prices, but you still will not grow if people cannot find you, or if it is hard for them to do business with you.” — Zina Oster

Entrepreneurial vision

Founder of AskZipy

As the founder of AskZipy.com, Zina Oster has brought her entrepreneurial experience and passion for business development to Costa Rica’s growing digital economy.

AskZipy was created with a vision of helping businesses become more visible, connect with potential customers, and discover new opportunities for growth.

The platform brings together businesses across hospitality, tourism, transportation, real estate, professional services, and other industries, helping travelers and local residents discover products, services, and experiences throughout Costa Rica.

For Zina, AskZipy represents more than a business directory. It reflects her belief that technology, accessibility, and stronger business connections can contribute to a more successful local business community.

Combined with her experience in multi-state sales leadership, international operations, business consulting, and software development, building AskZipy reinforces her practical understanding of what it takes to turn a business concept into a scalable platform.

Her philosophy is simple: successful businesses strengthen communities, and stronger communities create new opportunities for everyone.

What I help with

The work falls into three groups. None of these has a set project price. The first call is 30 minutes and free, and project work is quoted after that conversation.

Who I work with

Most of the day-to-day work is with owners around Manuel Antonio, Quepos, and the central Pacific coast. I am a consultant for ZipyRide.com, ZipyShuttle.com, Vista Ocean Suites, Terraza 77, Vista Bistro, Vistas Del Alma, and many more — hotels, restaurants, travel companies, and other businesses that already have a good product. Recent and long-standing clients also include Karahe, Shana Hotel, and other destination businesses in the area.

I also work with people who relocated here to live and work, and with companies that still need a U.S. point of contact. The Orlando office and the Manuel Antonio office are both active.

Vision

Take the local business community to another level by putting current technology to work: more efficiency, more productivity, and more profit. Manuel Antonio already draws travelers. Many businesses here have strong products and services, and they still do not have the systems or the professional support that would let them meet their potential. Skilled help is hard to find, service falls short of what a guest expects, and a lot of money is left on the table.

I want simple tools and a clear process, so the customer experience improves and the business becomes easier to see. The goal is a team that can deliver turnkey solutions — easy to understand and easy to implement — plus consulting support that develops the community leaders in this area.

Where to find me

Call, WhatsApp, or write. Tell me what is stuck. I am looking forward to hearing from you.
